Closing in on six decades, Sky Ranch Foundation continues to support our nation’s at-risk youth. The Beverage Alcohol Industry’s contributions have helped the Foundation to award grants to organizations such as the one below.

Cooper City, FL-based Learning for Success Inc. (kapowlfs.wordpress.com/about/) is a network of business and elementary school partnerships which introduces students to career awareness through professionally designed lessons taught by business volunteers in the classroom and visits to work sites. The program began in 1991 with one partnership and today includes 75 elementary, middle and high schools, 423 teachers and administrators and more than 400 volunteers from 100 South Florida businesses currently participate in the program, serving 6,000 students.

Foundation President Ralph Aguera states, “Awarding grants to organizations such as Learning for Success, Inc., which help to facilitate life changes in our nations’s challenged youth, has been, and continues to be, among the most gratifying endeavors I have personally been involved with in my long career.”

“The Foundation has extended our resources to more than 35 new organizations just in the past nine years, “says Foundation Chairman George McCarthy. “We will continue that pursuit when the next Board meeting convenes mid-July.”  2019 brings the highest number of organizations requesting funding.
